Week 29 / Little Olive Update
A quick snap and update before we head off to the airport for our New Zealand holiday! So excited. Ben and I put the cot together yesterday, just to make sure we had all the pieces. Well, we're missing a couple of bolts, so I'm glad we gave it a whirl! Thankfully we should be able to just grab the missing hardware from IKEA.
_________
How far along?
29 weeks – one more until I reach the 30's. The 20's have been the slowest so far, but also the most enjoyable.
Symptoms
Those leg cramps, and that sore tailbone. Also getting over a bit of a cold.
Maternity clothes
Singlets, shorts, gym pants and maternity dresses – nothing new.
Stretch marks
None.
Sleep
I've actually been sleeping pretty well lately!
Best moment this week
We've been finishing up the year here in Sydney, so there's lots of good vibes generally. We had a lovely swim on Saturday at Clovelly beach, followed by a nice dinner that evening. On Sunday I had brunch with a bunch of mama's I know through Facebook, it was awesome to put faces to names!
Worst moment this week
Saying goodbye to Juno yesterday. She was picked up and shuttled to the kennel we've booked her into. I'm not going to lie, there were tears! I just love that dog so much, but it won't be long until we see her again.
Movement
From the way that baby moves, I think they are lying diagonally – I feel kicks up by my right ribs, but hiccups down by my left hipbone.
Food cravings
None really, but looking forward to Christmas feasts!
Anything making you feel sick or queasy?
Not anymore.
Gender
No idea.
Belly button in or out?
Still hanging in there.
Happy or moody?
Feeling good!
Looking forward to...
Flying off to New Zealand tomorrow! There will be Christmas, family, baby showers, social events, birthdays, gigs... so much to look forward to.
This week's tune:
Don't Save Me by Haim, because it's just so darn catchy.
