Week 15, woohoo! Every week feels like such a milestone. I'm always so excited whenever Wednesday rolls around – on the morning of the new week, the first thing Ben and I do is read out baby's developments from my Ovia app. It's a really nice way for Ben and I to start the day. It's been a busy week! Ben's family came for the weekend, which was so awesome. The stayed in an apartment just two houses down from us! We did a lot of walking around which felt great, and ensured I slept like a log at night.
I've also started pregnancy yoga! Finally, getting my yoga fix. The RPA hospital (where I'm planning on having bub) has a yoga class once a week in the evenings (it's on a Wednesday as well; Wednesday is totally my baby day!). And guess what? The yoga instructor, Maja, is a midwife at the Birth Center. In fact, she's the one that facilitated the information session that Ben and I attended, and we both agreed that she was awesome at that time. So I'm super stoked to have more time with her! Because she's a midwife, any of us can chat about our niggles or worries with her, so it's amazing having that extra education time. Not to mention being around a group of pregnant ladies at all different stages.

How far along?
15 weeks. Still just a little tummy, but am definitely wearing looser clothes on top as it looks a bit like a beer belly! Away in the drawer they go... I wonder when I'll get them out again.
Symptoms
Still get pretty tired. Also, I've noticed that moving suddenly, such as jumping out of a chair or springing up from lying down, really hurts around my lower tummy. It can be crippling for a second or two. Even a big sneeze or cough can be sore. I think it's due to round ligament pain (stretching ligaments are under a lot of strain down there). So I need to be a bit more gentle with my body as it adjusts.
Maternity clothes
Love my maternity jeans! My other pants dig into my waist area and it's uncomfortable after a while. I did pick up a couple of things from an ASOS sale which I look forward to wearing.
Stretch marks
No.
Sleep
So many strange dreams! Can't remember any in particular right now.
Best moment this week
We had Ben's family over on the weekend, it was so lovely to see them. The sun was shining for them, too. Also, all of our belongings from New Zealand arrived this week! We have so much to do, but I already got out some homely things and put them around the house. Feeling more and more like home. And... I started pregnancy yoga this week! I've missed yoga so much, I haven't done it since I got to Sydney.
Worst moment this week
As awesome as it is having all of our things arrive, we are squeezing a three bedroom full house from New Zealand into a teeny one bedroom apartment... and I have no idea how it's all going to fit. Renting storage is super expensive – we might just have to deal with a bunch of extra furniture around the house, and sell some things. Phew.
Movement
Sometimes I imagine I can feel things, but I don't think so yet.
Food cravings
Fresh veges, fresh zingy flavours, lemon. Mexican cuisine, basically!
Anything making you feel sick or queasy?
I can deal with ice cream now! But the thought of Japanese noodles at Ippudo (restaurant) makes me gag. It's difficult to even type about because it's so off-putting. It has put me off this whole pregnancy which I don't think I've mentioned. We had it pretty early in pregnancy, so I wonder if that's related?
Gender
No idea!
Belly button in or out?
Innie.
Happy or moody?
Pretty good week!
Looking forward to...
My first midwife appointment in a week's time. I really hope they check for the baby's heartbeat using a doppler. As confident in bub as I am these days, I still get worried and wonder if it's ok. The 12 week scan already feels so long ago.
This week's tune:
I've been listening to a lot of Bat For Lashes lately. Her songs take me to a special, ancient place – somewhere that feels really important at this stage in my life. it sounds cheesy, but in this place is a womanly strength which I'm tapping into. Have a listen to her song Glass.
