Sleep

Been having some crazy dreams lately, which kind of interrupt my sleep. I was hoping to have some sleep ins this weekend but I wake up absolutely busting for the loo!

Best moment this week

It was Urbis Design Day yesterday, so that was a fun day out with Caroline. Also, getting positive results from my blood test last week put me at ease.

Worst moment this week

Contemplating all the work to be done with moving. We had a social event for work, where we all went out on a boat. The 'superiors' gave lovely speeches about all of us and I bawled like a baby, I'm going to miss them so much! Also, been feeling anxious about how my little fetus (haha) is going. I wish there was a clear sign that said "yes, everything is growing and going normally"!

I think it's been a mostly happy week. As I mentioned, it's so up and down with the demands of work, organising the move and thinking about the future. I love chatting to Ben on the phone, but we inevitably start talking about logistical stuff which can be quite stressful for us both!

Looking forward to...

My first scan on Tuesday morning! I've been having such an easy going time – no nausea or notable symptoms, so I just want to know everything is ok. Mum is coming along with me – yes, both my mum and Ben's mum know. We managed to tell them both while Ben was still in the country, but we're going to wait a while before telling everyone else (and making this blog go live!). I'd hate to disappoint if this pregnancy didn't eventuate into anything. Fingers crossed everything is fine!

I've been listening to some relaxing tunes this week. I love this song Sommersault by Zero7, featuring the lovely Sia. Here is a live version of it, just so you can fully appreciate Sia's amazing vocal ability. This song reminds me of summer drives with my love, windows down, ice creams in bellies. I miss him so much.
